Miss Reshma Thampy is an award-winning  Consultant Ophthalmologist  based at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital . She has an excellent reputation in assessing and managing a wide range of eye conditions including ophthalmic emergencies , and she is renowned   for  providing impeccable  patient care and    individualised communication skills.

 

She graduated from the University of Glasgow  and undertook her  her postgraduate ophthalmology training in Manchester 

Miss Thampy has  extensive clinical training and experience in Comprehensive Ophthalmology including advanced subspecialty training  in Oculoplastic Surgery , and Emergency Ophthalmology. 

 

Miss Thampy has been Lead Consultant for Adult General Ophthalmology at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital for over 10 years and was a founding member of the British Emergency Eye Care Society.

​

She is committed to training the next generation of doctors and has served as Associate Hospital Dean for Ophthalmology at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and is a current Council Member of the Royal College of Ophthalmolgists 

​

MSc  Investigative tive Ophthalmology in Vision Science from Manchester University and 

Masters in Healthcare Leadership from Manchester Business School ]
