Miss Ivanova has completed her comprehensive training in Ophthalmology in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has further enhanced her training by completing two prestigious vitreoretinal fellowships, one in Glasgow and another in Manchester. She is competent in small-gauge vitrectomies for rhegmatogenous retinal detachments, macular surgery, trauma, intraocular foreign bodies, endophthalmitis, complicated cataract surgery and complex tractional detachments, having performed over 2000 surgeries. She audits her surgical outcomes regularly and her success rates in retinal detachment repair and macular hole surgery are above published standards.
